Siyang Cao joined the University of Arizona in 2015 as an assistant professor of electrical and computer engineering, following a position as an automotive radar system engineer on an algorithm, software, and hardware development at Delphi. Mainly he works on radars and their related signal processing, e.g. imaging, target classification, interference mitigation, and etc. More broadly, he also worked on sensor fusion, so that different sensors (radar, camera, infrared, sonar, etc.) can take advantage of each other in case one sensor failed.
