Dr. Mona Arora is an applied researcher at the UArizona College of Public Health. She obtained her Master of Science in Public Health (MSPH) degree in Tropical Medicine from the Tulane University School of Tropical Medicine & Hygiene and has a doctorate degree in Geography from the University of Arizona. She is a strong advocate for cross-sectoral and discipline collaboration to address the ‘wicked problems’ facing small and rural communities. Her projects focus on building community resilience and addressing health inequities through community engagement, science translation, and cross-sectoral collaboration. She works on cross disciplinary teams of researchers and practitioners to develop community-driven and community-centered solutions and programs.
